Our family retained Wesley about 8 years ago to tutor our two sons. The initial reason for tutoring was because our eldest son had challenges learning and applying math common core concepts. In order for one child not to be “singled” out, we hired Wesley to begin tutoring both. For the past 8 years, Wesley has successfully tutored and navigated our children through common core, algebra, calculus and geometry. Due to consistency and his strong teaching skills, our children are very strong math students. Many times when a new concept it introduced in class, our sons already know the concept and can apply the applicable math application. Tutoring is not only for those students who struggle. For us, consistent weekly tutoring is math enhancement and enrichment. There’s nothing better than a confident math student. This confidence spills over into other academic subjects such as chemistry and physics. Both of our sons have math minds, excel on standardized exams because of continues math coaching. Our family is grateful for this long term commitment which has put our children in position for academic strength and excellence. I am personally grateful that I do not have learn common core math.
